I had always wanted to join NCC in my schooling but couldn't due to several reasons. When I got the opportunity in NITK , I just grabbed it without thinking twice! And from then , it has played a very important role in moulding me. If you fret about joining NCC doubting your physical strength do not ! Because , you will gain it once you join NCC and you will sustain if you have sheer dedication and humbleness to learn coz NCC is going to test your patience for sure. Starting from marching practise to NCC classes to camping , organising events , making new friends from camps and much more it will help in overall development which will help throughout your life iff you are equally involved and dedicated.
That proud feeling of the uniform cannot be described in words!! I am equally grateful to have met amazing officers , juniors and seniors with like minds ! I can never be less grateful to 2KAR ENG COY for the confidence that I have gained.

To me, NCC has been an incredible journey. I have met some amazing people and made good friends. Although I hated getting up early in the morning and practicing, I miss those times. I am thankful for having been introduced to very supportive friends, instructors who gave their all to ensure everything was perfect at all times and most importantly, the opportunity to handle weapons

If you ask me what I learned from NCC, I would reply that NCC taught me a way of life - Unity & Discipline.
The friends you earn in NCC are special. They are not just friends, they are buddies. The memories and experiences you get in NCC are superb, that you won't get it outside. Waking up early in camp, morning drill practice, weapon training, planning for bulls eyes and ends up in wash out, ragda, etc.

Yes, the most basic things NCC taught me the discipline. How to sit, walk, talk with different level of people like junior senior and equal. I learnt time management. I remembered the tour of NCC helping people and nice food offered during any camp and program. I liked the firing in the NCC. The way PI staff deals is amazing. They understand cadets as their own brother. I will always remember their love.
